Two weeks ago: Begging.
One week ago: A state of mild depression
Two days ago: Happiest night of my life
Crazy how things can change so easily right? One word: Mia.
Maxie, my 115 lb, 12 year old chocolate lab, was put to sleep two years ago. It was the most tragic day of my life. Seeing her eyes roll back and having her large body fall on top of my two sisters and I was something no one can imagine. It was so painful. After a since her death, I needed a new companion. Both my sisters moved out so it's just my parents and I. Fun, right? Only sometimes.
It all started two weeks ago when I was home alone watching Oprah. I got a phone call from Dani, one of my sisters. Her friends parents dog had puppies. Shih Tzu puppies. They were $375, and just 8 weeks old. This was the perfect opportunity! It opened my mind up to all different kinds of thoughts. My mom was going to visit Dani and then she could bring home the dog because it is exactly 8 weeks old. (Yes, I did my research on Southwest Airlines to how old a dog has to be to travel.)
Brought it up to our parents. Completely opposed to the idea. "We just do NOT want a dog Taylor." I gave them the silent treatment, and it killed me to do that. But I just wanted to show them how much this means to me. Pretty childish, huh? Well, turns out they decided to get me a dog a week before I was a complete child to them. Now I feel bad.
1AM. My parents, cousin Kelly, and Aunt Gail come in. Dad with the video camera. Gail with her camera phone and camera. Kelly with another camera. And my mom with the dog. "What the.." were the first words out of my mouth. They all came in going on a rampage of picture-taking. I was shocked. Before I could even lift my head off of my pillow my mom sets baby Mia onto my bed. I thought I was going to cry. But I didnt. She is so precious. Words can't even describe her. Shortly after I knew I had a dog I say, "I gotta tweet." I am so lame.
Welp, that's my fairytale story! Time to give Mia her first bath now. Pray for me that she cooperates.
p.s. Listen to 'Gypsy' by Shakira.
